A fracture is suspected if after a fall or accident there is pain and swelling over the region.You are unable to walk or move the limb.There may be bluish discolouration of the skin also.

It is advised to visit your orthopedic doctor and get proper xrays done and rule out the fracture.

Management of fracture depends upon the exact type of injury.You may require a plaster or even surgery.

Do not apply hot water or any cream over the region.Do not rub or do massage over the region.
